Dog Manners 101
Hosted in Sturgeon Bay, this six-week series addresses the foundations of dog training. Topics include basic manners (sit, down, stay, here, leave-it), walking politely on leash, proper socialization techniques and how to avert unwanted behavior such as jumping, barking, mouthing, etc.
Dogs 6-months and older with proof of Rabies, parvovirus and Bordetella vaccine are welcome. Priced at $129 per dog & handler, class size is limited to 6 teams with unlimited observers encouraged. See events page for dates, times and registration information.
Hopeful Paws currently offers private, in-home lessons which allows us to tailor each session your unique requirements. For new clients, we spend a 60-90 minute consultation together addressing questions you might have, identifying areas for improvement and also the basics of creating a manageable environment for you and your dog. We typically cover house breaking, proper equipment, and basic manners in the first session.
We also train in dog friendly places such as farmer’s markets, farm & garden stores, veterinary offices, etc.
